With many experiences in jazz, rock, free rock, music for theater and dance... he considers above all the musical practice as an act of listening.
His affinity for crossover music led him to adopt a game full of contrasts and "no sides", while ensuring the precision of musical intent and sound rendering. Also, a particular interest in non-idiomatic improvisation for the past fifteen years has led him to develop extensive drumming techniques. He plays on "classical" percussion elements to which are added more incongruous objects. The drum or cymbal then only becomes the amplification mode for handling all these objects.
Currently, as a drummer, he interprets the polyrhythmic concepts of composer and saxophonist Romain Dugelay in several hybrid groups (PIXVAE, KOUMA, POLYMORPHIE), plays complex forms resulting from multiple stylistic crossovers with CHROMB, and plays pop music with MERCURIALE.
He also occasionally develops musical projects at the crossroads of his personal whims, such as the development of a vocabulary of sound textures based on the handling of percussion and objects / the "act of listening" / musical abstraction / attachment to the place, the acoustics and the context in which the game takes place.
This materializes in different forms, from the elaboration of two solos (drums / gongs) to the composition confronting percussion, electronics and field recording with Clément Edouard within STEPPE, through the interpretation of playing concepts from "post-Cagiennes" music (close to the composers' collective "wandelweiser") with trombonist Mathias Forge within FACTOTUM.
He has been seen in concert at various festivals and concert halls, including:
the festival of "Innovative Musics" (St Etienne), Jazz and Improvised Music in Franche Comté (Besançon), Banlieues Bleues, "Les Primeurs de Massy", Jazz in Luz (Pyrenees), les Jeudis du Port (Brest), Festival "Rock in Opposition (Carmaux), Les Vieilles Charrues, Glastonbury Festival (UK), Pohoda (SK), Houtfestival (Haarlem, NL), Festival ANTIGEL (CH), Théaterspektakel (Zurich), "Hi !
