    ‘AibohphobiA’ or the phobia of palindromes; this is the concept behind Kouma’s third album: a soundtrack with the reversible nature of a daily commute. The outward journey makes up Side A. It is earthy, warm and rooted in the guitar/sax/drums sound familiar to the trio. Its negative counterpart, featured on side B, is more synthetic and ethereal, taking the trio in new directions. Two versions of a journey, then, for an album conceived as a concept album, yet one that retains the trio’s signature sound and energy.

    Recommended listening for any daily commute lasting around twelve minutes.
