Claire venus / Polymorphie
Claire venus / Polymorphie Claire venus / PolymorphieThis ensemble abounds in sounds and senses. Polymorphie comes back in order to explore new lands of human intimacy… After madness (« Voix » / Voice, 2010) and incarceration (« Cellule » / Cell, 2012), its new playground is love, in all its forms !
“Claire Vénus” / Clear Venus offers a passionate and exciting path within a sophisticated selection of ancient and contemporary poems (Cohen, Néruda, Eluard, Pasolini…). Around sonnet’s form, this music between post rock and libertarian jazz gets along with caresses and explosions, around Marine Pellegrini’s magnetic voice.
Composer and master of piece(s), Romain Dugelay is once again the architect of this both intimate and universal odyssey. He invites his Kouma trio (with Léo Dumont on drums & Damien Cluzel on guitar) and the trombonist Simon Girard to this classy musical bacchanal, magnifying the many influences of his longstanding games partners. Marine Pellegrini curls in their precious caskets with the power and the grace of a modern times nymph.
In short : epic and lyric !
